Last night, this boy named Jared tried to commit suicide because he felt like he wasn’t good enough. He was being bullied by anons and so many people at school because he didn’t have as many friends as everyone else. Even his mom said that he wasn’t as perfect as she had hoped. But no one is perfect. And this just added to the stress.
Bullying to make yourself feel better isn’t ok. For anyone. It could cost a life. This year, Suicide is the leading cause of death for teens in the United States. We could change this. But people feel that there is nothing they can do.
When you see someone bullying someone else, tell them to stop. And if they don’t, tell an adult. It could save a life.
Jared is still in the hospital. He was found in the bathtub with slit wrists and he almost bled out. The doctors were able to stitch it up. but if we had hesitated even five minutes, he would have died.
No one is going to reblog this because they think it will ruin their blog. It won’t. It can make a difference. Please pass this on.

I think she’s beautiful, and it saddens me how cruel people can be to someone. I teared up just watching this, and it’s really ridiculous to know how people can just say the rudest things and not care. :/

Teenage suicide accounts for 31,000 suicides a year in the U.S, making it the 3rd leading cause of suicide. Worldwide, nearly one million people commit suicide every year.. more than those murdered or killed in war.

Think before you say something hurtful to someone else. It may look like they’re okay, but they’re not. Words are more powerful than you think.
